Dear Ancients,



In the first launch of NOSTALGIS, we've reached a lot more users than we expected or needed for a good game, however there were some crucial mistakes done in the database - game play in general. We're extremely sorry for the mistakes we did in the database, and we're taking all the blame for it. The main reason of the Re-Launch is not because we couldn't fix the mistakes in database quickly enough, but it's due to the game play design was so bad that after 3 days we've lost 95% of the players. We've jumped from 600 to 30, and that's something that can't be repaired just like that. We have plans in case we would be losing players, or even if we would jump from 600 to 300, it still would be good and we could maintain and advertise for more players, as well even if we started with 200 players and went to 100, we still could bring it back to 200+, but when you jump from 600 to 30 in just 3 days, that means something extremely went bad, if you start a launch with 30 players, you can pull it up to good number, but once you jump from 600 to 30 so quickly there is nothing to be done. And all the blame goes on us for doing some crucial mistakes on the game play. Getting players and new comers, is not something that makes a problem for us, it's something we are the most experienced, but you can understand that by that big loss of population we are not only damaged by the count, but also psychically and lose of motivational. After discussing this problem within our staff members, we decided to to a re-launch and last days we spent analyzing everything to the latest problem we had.



What went bad in the launch? We will point out just the crucial things, and not every little detail that should and will be changed, you can read that in the 'What's going to be changed column'







Our believe that players are looking for real hardcore MYKO server was wrong! We've noticed that players are playing private servers to be easier than it is at Official Version, therefore with our statement that leveling to 60 takes 2 hours, while actually it took almost 2 days hard core exping with premium, made us lose the players that were hoping for something else. Generally the experience points was too hard for players to enjoy, it was averting players from playing and joining to the server.

We were not aware that people are going to just be macroing, the players were not motivated to go to Colony Zone for the leveling, there were so many macro parties, that players questioned them self, what is this? Is it a bot server or is it a player friendly server? Now imagine how can a new warrior level him self, if the macro parties won't add him and Colony Zone is empty? Additionally to this it was extremely hard to get levels, so the new warrior didn't see him playing in the server, just to play and not get anywhere, it's boring, it's not point of the game.

Goblins Gold Farmers, by allowing players to use macro, they've also used Goblin Spot for Gold Farming, we've left the Goblins to be giving good amount of coins, but we didn't think further in about some gold farming cheaters that are using Auto Loot. Okay, nobody knows that, but the gold farmers farmed so much coins from Goblins that they basically bought the best items on merchant. We've fixed that after we recognized in the second day, but than even the Gold Farmers quited, since they already did damage, and since we all know no matter what game it is, some players just log in to make troubles, to insult, to try and abuse bugs and than just go to the next server.

The drop rate of items, we were shocked to see that a lot of players don't know where to start and where to end their farming/exp sessions, they were lost, they've had no friends, and the drop rate of items was so low, that they wasted more potions than obtained the material while farming, and losing the NP's and EXP's due to the bad balance of farming.

Lack of CZ activity is very important factor here, the PK was very good at the times, perhaps even 15 party's vs 15 party's sometimes but there were nobody exping / farming in Colony Zone. More or less they been just a red dots for the mage parties, and that happens because they couldn't obtain any good gear for them to fight against mage parties, while mage parties just needed levels to kill everyone. So a big mistake done here is because the game play was wrongly designed for the meeles and their farming. The CZ activity could possibly work this way, only if everyone in the server was a mage, so once again a mistake we've done.

Lack of events, we've been thinking to enable some of the events later after some time, but reality at least BDW should start in the begining. The events were mostly for meeles, and LMS is rather a bit less interesting event, so we've ignored the factor that players must be rewarded with something through events to be able to enjoy the game even more.

Lack of organization for the new players, solo players, they didn't know where to go, or how to obtain anything as the general rates were so hard that playing for few hours didn't get them any where, but rather stuck in the same position. It might been easier for those who joined at first day, but imagine someone joining after a week, it would be just a matter of time when he give up.

The drop rate on accessories was too hard, as well as obtaining the master items, we believe it has to be slightly easier so players actually obtain some unique items and not just killing bosses for the sake of enthusiasm.

KOXPERS generally aren't a problem, however we didn't had a proper plan how to stop them, and we didn't have patrolling schedule to stop them. [Once koxper is found he can't play anymore, however we under estimated the power of koxpers therefore we didn't have enough patrolling manpower to handle and perform clearance of illegal activity.

And the remaining small things that aren't that important, but definitely players would like to see them in to increase the fun of playing Ancient KO.







Server Re-Launch at 01.06.2024







Current server is going to wiped, and it will be re-launched, you're going to lose the items that you currently have.

If you've have purchased Knight Cash, you are going to receive 100% of the KC back to your account, so you can purchase the items again. The KC is going to be added to your account automatically, therefore you don't have to send us a PM regarding it

If you won the KC reward from playing beta or any other event/contest, you can claim it and get it back, however it might take a bit more time so we review the case and confirm identity.





What's going to be different?





The experience points required to reach levels is going to be easier.

Level cap at the start is 65

Breth / Piana is going to be replaced with EMC / LUFF.

Drop rate on master items is going to be increased.

Drop rate on FP's,Buses,Chitins,Dark Mare is going to be increased.

BDW is going to be live from day 1.

Macro is NOT allowed, there are chances that we will kill you as the first 2 warnings and than ban you.

The activity in the Colony Zone is going to increase drastically.

Drop rate on Accessories and Uniques from bosses is going to be increased.

Drop rate on quest items is going to be increased.

More items will be available at Power UP Store.

New quest that will give different items.

KOXP Patrolling schedule by our staff, direct PC Ban.

Balance of coin economy is going to be redesigned.

Special monsters in Colony Zone are going to drop : Ancient Eggs, Black/Red chitin coupons.

Price of scrolls for coins is going to be lowered.

Vote System is going to be giving you rewards.

Referral system is going to be disabled.

Castle Siege Warfare winners will obtain special rewards.

Begginer clan is going to be activated from day 1.

You're going to receive 3 days of Bronze Premium when you make your first character.

Upgrade rates are going to stay the same, but with boosted drop rate easier to make high items.

Drop bugs & Quest bugs are going to be fully fixed.

Shoutbox is going to be activated.















FAQ



Do i need to create new account? Answer : No, you can use old account.



Do i need to create new character? Answer : Yes, you will have to create new character.



Do i get KC back on the same account? Answer : Yes, unless you want it differently.



Do i have to download client again? Answer : No, all the updates comes via patch.



Will you relaunch server again in future? Answer : Most likely NO. We will do everything not to re-launch.



Can i already start obtaining my vote points,are they gonna be wiped? Answer : Yes you can, they won't be deleted.



Can i use MACRO? Answer : No, you are going to be killed or banned.



Can i sell my KC / Items to others for USD? Answer : Yes, but on your own risk.



Will you unban the players that got PC BAN? Answer : No, unless we have a big reason to do so.



Can you secure the server and make it stable without going offline every second day? Answer : We're best at that.



Do you need a Moderator to help you on the forums? Answer : Yes we do, you can apply to Gama on PM.



Do you need a Game Master to help support the game? Answer : Not at the moment, we already took 1 new GM.



Are you going to add Juraid / Bi-Frost in the future? Answer : Yes, and perhaps some other events as well.



Can i join the server after weeks and still be able to compete? Answer : Yes, our new design is meant for that.



Are the Turkish players primary? Answer : No.



Are there a lot of Turkish Players? Answer : Relatively, yes.



Will all the Turkish players that join at day 1, stay at the server? Answer : No.



Will you get new players daily and even after few months? Answer : Yes, we've good plans for that.



Will there be more english players now, than it was before? Answer : Yes



If i get scammed or insulted by someone, will you do actions? Answer : Yes, we're a clean server.



If i get banned, can i make application for unban? Answer : Yes, unless you are PC Banned.



Are PUS items tradeable can i merchant them? Answer : Yes 85% of the items.



What are the official languages of the server? Answer : English,Spanish,Turkish.



Will there be more users than before? Answer : That's not important for us, we will have enough users.



If i bring a full clan to the server, can you help with items? Answer : We can't, but we can assist u how and where.



When i won't get reply to ticket? Answer : If your ticket is flaming,insulting or nonsense.



Do you answer all the support tickets and PM's? Answer : Most of them.



Will there be events made by GM, such as Kill GM,Find GM.. ? Answer : Yes, if we see the players asking for it.
